Trading Rules & Safety

stash.trade exists to make in-game trading easier - not to facilitate real-money transactions. These rules apply to every listing, message and trade arranged through this platform.

The one rule that matters most

stash.trade does not allow real-money trading. All listings, messages and trades must be for in-game items, in-game gold, or other in-game tradeable assets only. Any attempt to buy, sell, advertise, broker or arrange trades involving real-world money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, external payment, accounts or boosting services may result in listing removal and account suspension.

Community rules

These rules apply to every user, listing, and message on the platform.

No real-money trading (RMT)

All listings and trades must use only in-game currency or items. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Real money (PayPal, Revolut, bank transfer, etc.)
  • Cryptocurrency of any kind
  • Gift cards or store credit
  • External payment platforms
  • Links to third-party RMT shops
  • Any service that charges real money for in-game progress

No account trading

Selling, buying, renting or sharing game accounts is not allowed. This includes:

  • Selling or buying Battle.net / game accounts
  • Sharing login credentials with another person
  • Paid power-leveling or carry services that involve account access
  • Recovery services that require your account login

No dupes, exploits or botting

Listings must only contain legitimately obtained items. The following are prohibited:

  • Duplicated items (dupes) obtained through any exploit
  • Items generated or modified by third-party software
  • Gold or items farmed by bots or automation tools
  • Using or advertising game exploits in any listing or message
Safe trading

How to trade safely

Practical tips for every trade, regardless of item value.

Inspect before you accept

Always review the item in the trade window before clicking Accept. Once both sides confirm, the trade is final.

Never drop items on the ground

Use the in-game trade window. Dropping items is an easy way to lose them - another player can pick them up first.

Avoid multi-step deals

"Send half now, half later" or "I'll give you the item after you pay" are common scam patterns. Stick to a single simultaneous exchange.

Verify the BattleTag

Check that the BattleTag in the listing matches the player who contacts you in-game before initiating a trade.

Screenshot large trades

For high-value items, take screenshots of the trade window and the conversation. Useful if you need to file a report.

Reports & moderation

If you see a listing, message or user that violates these rules, use the Report button on the listing or conversation. Every report is reviewed by a moderator.

stash.trade reserves the right to remove listings, hide messages, and suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these rules - including listings that appear legitimate but are used to facilitate RMT or fraud off-platform.

We do not intervene in in-game disputes or reverse in-game trades. For bans or account issues, contact Blizzard Support directly.
